Details to follow! In celebration of Pastor Mapson's 45 years Preaching and 40 years Pastoring, we include in the bulletin a feature called Did You Know. These are interesting facts about the life and ministry of our pastor. DID YOU KNOW? Pastor Mapson had an older sister who died in Columbus, Georgia at age 18 months of pneumonia. "The oldest recorded sermon in my possession was preached on Youth Day at Metropolitan Baptist Church, Columbus, Georgia. I was invited to preach there when I was in college. It was a church formerly pastored by my father in the 1930's." HISTORICAL THREE SET CD Today the CDs are available. You must purchase the 3-set CDs of a sermon by Rev. Dr. J. H. Jackson, Rev. Dr. M. M. Peace, Sr. and Pastor Mapson from the Media Room. BLACK HISTORY CONCERT CD'S Orders for CDs of our Black History Concert are being taken containing many Church favorites. Please see Trustee Janeen Poulson to place your order. Cost: $20. SERMON SERIES "Are You Fit to Live With?" A 4-set CD Package $15 per CD set will be available (a savings of $5 if sold separately). "WHAT WE BELIEVE" We are taking orders (CDs only) for the sermon series. The cost for the seven-sermon set is $25. SANCTUARY USHERS We congratulate the name change of what is historically the oldest ushering group in our Church from Senior Ushers to Sanctuary Ushers. CAPITAL FUND CAMPAIGN Each loyal member of Monumental is encouraged to continue paying on your pledge. The purpose of our Capital Fund Campaign is to raise funds for needed and necessary improvements on our building. Please use the special Capital Fund Campaign envelopes in the pews.
