ORDINANCE OF BAPTISM Sunday, August 1st 10:00 a.m. WEST PHILADELPHIA CLUSTER of CHURCHES is collecting School Supplies for the month of July to be distributed at the Cluster's annual Back-to-School youth program. Pre Back-to-School Revival Prayer Service Tuesday, August 17th 7:00 pm Monumental Baptist Church BACK-to-SCHOOL REVIVAL Thursday August 19th 7:00 pm 2nd Mount Zion Baptist Church, 3814 Parrish St., Rev. James Moore, Sr., Pastor ATTENTION SENIORS If you are 60 years or older, you may be eligible to receive $20.00 in produce vouchers provided by the PA Department of Agriculture. Vouchers must be used by November 20, 2010. Please see Sister Muriel Moore and Sister Pamela Chestnut in the overflow section to see if you qualify and to obtain your voucher immediately after service. HEALTHY LIFESTYLES If you are interested in a healthier you, the next 10 weeks of Weight Watchers will begin in September. Cost is $135.00 and you may begin making payments now. We need at least 20 people for our onsite meetings. Please see Sis. Shirley Mapson or Sis. Regina Robinson for more information. GOD'S CHOSEN YOUTH PROJECT Please help the youth of Monumental beautify our exterior by purchasing pickets an/or posts for a new Aluminum Picket Fence. Cost per picket is $18.00. Cost per post is $36.00. Donations will be accepted after service each Sunday in the overflow. In celebration of Pastor Mapson's 45 years Preaching and 40 years Pastoring, we include in the bulletin a feature called Did You Know. These are interesting facts about the life and ministry of our pastor. DID YOU KNOW? Pastor Mapson had an older sister who died in Columbus, Georgia at age 18 months of pneumonia. "The oldest recorded sermon in my possession was preached on Youth Day at Metropolitan Baptist Church, Columbus, Georgia. I was invited to preach there when I was in college. It was a church formerly pastored by my father in the 1930's." SERMON SERIES "Are You Fit to Live With?" A 4-set CD Package $15 per CD set will be available (a savings of $5 if sold separately). "WHAT WE BELIEVE" We are taking orders (CDs only) for the sermon series. The cost for the seven-sermon set is $25. CONCERT SERIES BLACK HISTORY CONCERT CDs Orders for CDs of our Black History Concert are being taken containing many Church favorites. Please see Trustee Janeen Poulson to place your order. Cost: $20. HISTORICAL THREE SET CD Today the CDs are available. You must purchase the 3-set CDs of a sermon by Rev. Dr. J. H. Jackson, Rev. Dr. M. M. Peace, Sr. and Pastor Mapson from the Media Room. CAPITAL FUND CAMPAIGN Each loyal member of Monumental is encouraged to continue paying on your pledge. The purpose of our Capital Fund Campaign is to raise funds for needed and necessary improvements on our building. Please use the special Capital Fund Campaign envelopes in the pews.
